As 2026 begins, so does a new era at Dalegate Market, with a whole new café offering. Mother and daughter team, Debbie and Kate, took over the property on 1st January, and in a few weeks The Nest Café in Burnham Deepdale will open its doors to shoppers, walkers, cyclists, wildlife watchers, campers and anyone else visiting the beautiful North Norfolk Coast.
The Nest have been serving coffee from their converted horse box for more than 3 years, and much of their time has been spent on the Deepdale site throughout the main season, as well as weddings, private events and seasonal festivals. During that time, they have fallen in love with Burnham Deepdale, got to know the crew and visitors, and have realised the amazing opportunity the café space is at Dalegate Market.

“The Nest Café in Burnham Deepdale will be a welcoming family run cafe. Our regular customers know us for our great coffee, homemade bakes and tasty breakfasts. We will be looking to expand on this offering significantly in the café, including a lunchtime menu whilst keeping a warm and friendly atmosphere that our regulars are used to.” said Debs and Kate.
The previous café offering, Deepdale Café, closed its doors for the final time just before Christmas, and Debbie and Kate are keen to get the new offering up and running as soon as possible. January will be a month of refitting and preparing, and then great coffee will be available at Dalegate Market once again.
“We’re so happy to welcome Debs and Kate to Dalegate Market. We know visitors to Burnham Deepdale deserve a great café experience, and having somewhere to eat, drink and relax is so important while enjoying the beautiful North Norfolk Coast. Because Debs and Kate know our place so well, and are part of the huge team that makes Deepdale Camping & Rooms and Dalegate Market work across the year, we are sure their permanent presence as The Nest Café will be a brilliant new addition to Burnham Deepdale.”said Jason Borthwick, landlord of Dalegate Market, and Chairman of Deepdale Camping & Rooms.
The shops, supermarket, pop up shops, campsite, rooms and visitor information centre, which call Burnham Deepdale home, are really looking forward to the new offering, and there is already a new sense of energy across the site. The Nest will be opening its doors in early February, and the Dalegate Market team are sure this new café offering will become a hugely popular addition to the food & drink offering of the North Norfolk Coast.
