Spring and summer seasons at Sheringham Little Theatre

Laughs, chills, a dance party and comic opera are part of the cocktail of summer entertainment being served up by Sheringham Little Theatre.

The annual summer theatre, which has been running for more than 50 years, is building on last year’s successes when it opens on July 30 with a series of four productions.

The team who staged a hilarious spoof of the Hound of the Baskervilles are back to deliver a madcap version of The Three Musketeers.

Next comes a chilling ghost story, based on the Henry James’ novel Turn of the Screw (August 9-14), a Ray Cooney modern adaptation farce It’s Her Turn Now (August 16-24), and finally an Ayckbourn comedy classic Relatively Speaking (August 27-31).

After the success of a weekend of open air events at Mannington Hall last year, there’s  an encore from  the Lee Vasey Big Band who return to host a dance party on July 12. The following day Opera Anywhere will stage a picnic event featuring Gilbert and Sullivan’s HMS Pinafore.

The summer and spring shows are unveiled as the charity-run arts venue launches its latest programme of events.

At Easter (April 11-13) 30 talented young local performers aged eight to 18 take to the stage to present Matilda Junior, a slightly shorter version of the popular musical with all the favourite songs.

For family audiences Captain Calamity is back with his riotous show on April 1, while on April 27 there’s the Pirates of Dinosaur Island.

Music fans can relive the hits of their favourite performers with tribute concerts for Neil Diamond (April 20),
