Residents are being encouraged not to miss their chance to vote for their favourite pub and retailer of the year in South Norfolk and Broadland Council’s Business Awards.
Broadland District Council’s Cabinet Member for Economic Development, Cllr Martin Booth, said: “We have some fantastic pubs and retailers in Broadland, that go above and beyond for their customers. This is your chance to spread some Christmas cheer by showing local businesses just how much you value their contribution to your community.”
There will be four winners in total, two for each district and one for each category, so residents are being encouraged to vote for both their favourite retailer and favourite pub for the best chance of winning.
South Norfolk Council’s Cabinet Member, Cllr Lisa Overton-Neal said: “It’s our local businesses that help make our towns and villages such vibrant places. If you care about a local business and appreciate the service they offer, then this is your chance to give them a real boost by voting for them and saying thank you.”
Everyone who votes in the Retailer and Pub of the Year Awards via the Councils’ website will be entered into a prize draw to win £100. Votes must be in by the 13 December to be included in the prize draw.
The Retailer and Pub of the Year Awards are part of the South Norfolk and Broadland Business Awards.
In addition to a public vote, Businesses based in the two districts are invited to nominate themselves in any of ten categories to be in with a chance of winning a prestigious award. The categories recognise the diversity of businesses operating in the two districts.
The awards ceremony will take place in March 2025. The Business Awards are sponsored by local law firm Birketts LLP.
