Profile
The Virginia Court welcomes you to Cromer in North Norfolk, for those looking for quality touches in their overnight accommodation and short breaks in Cromer.
Some guests think of us as a hotel, others as a b&b, and we see ourselves as a hybrid. But one thing we are passionate about is offering high-quality guest accommodation, great breakfasts, a resident’s only bar/lounge to relax in, a spacious sun trap garden to enjoy and free onsite car parking.
We have 23 individually styled ensuite rooms made up of: 4 x junior suites (1st floor), 11 x twin/super king beds, 5 x standard double beds (1st floor), 3 x single bedded rooms. We only have 3 ground floor rooms which are: 1 x single; 2 x twin/king. Unfortunately we do not have a lift and all other rooms are on the first floor. Check-in is from 3-10pm and everyone gets a unique door entry code to enter the building.
Breakfast is served weekdays 8-9.30am and 8-10am on weekends. Start with a choice of cereals, fruit and juices. Be sure to try our muesli, homemade in the kitchens, one not to miss. Then it’s on to the main course. We locally source our eggs (fresher than any you will get in a supermarket), bacon & sausages and smoked whole kippers, a must when staying on the North Sea coast.
Complimentary Sherry and cake is available in the resident bar/lounge daily 3-5pm
We have a large sun trapped south facing garden and a free onsite carpark for overnight guests. All this and just a stones throw away from the town centre and the beach at the end of our tree lined avenue.
This former club house was reportedly built to entice Edward VII to continue to frequent Cromer, located on the prestigious tree lined avenue opposite North Lodge Park (which overlooks the sea), Virginia Court Hotel is a stone’s throw from both the town centre and the North Norfolk seafront. Basing yourself in Cromer allows you to easily explore the town; watch the fishermen land their catch directly on the beach, catch your own crabs off the pier and take in the famous Seaside Special Shows on the award winning Cromer Pier! For those with a little more energy try a walk up to the Cromer Lighthouse or even play a round of golf at Royal Cromer Golf club.
You’ll find plenty to do here including walking along the North Norfolk coastal path, birdwatching at Cley, visiting Sandringham and the halls at Blickling, Felbrigg, Holkham and Houghton. Take a boat trip to see the seals at Blakeney point or explore the Norfolk Broads. Additional activities include exploring the local villages and towns. Holt is a pretty Georgian market town packed with unusual shops and galleries. There’s also a country park and steam railway nearby.
With its modern hotel rooms the Virginia Court Hotel in Cromer offers a comfortable relaxed experience where you will receive friendly but professional service from all our team. You will find Virginia Court Hotel in Cromer is the most ideal of Norfolk Hotels for all types of breaks; awaydays, microbreaks and short weekend breaks or for use as a base for longer stays.
