Profile
The Only Way is Up this March for Westacre Theatre Company as they go back to the 1980s – to a time when a lifelong friendship between 3 incredible women began. This moving, charming and beautifully written play Di & Viv & Rose by writer/actor Amelia Bullmore (Twenty Twelve, Happy Valley) tells the story of the eponymous Di, Viv and Rose who meet at University digs and become fast friends. The play moves with them through their lives as they navigate adulthood, careers, relationships, sexuality all whilst remaining friends.
Performed all over the world, this play strikes the perfect balance between moments of sharp, biting humous, heart-warming moments celebrating the joy of the female friendship and moments of pathos and sadness as these 3 women deal with ups, downs and everything in-between.
From the creative team at Westacre Theatre who produced recent sell-out runs of Private Lives, Betrayal, 5 Lesbians Eating a Quiche, Colder than Here, under the expert direction of Westacre Theatre Director Matt Grist, they continue to produce innovative, engaging and high quality productions in their hidden gem of a venue in rural West Norfolk.
Thursday 13 – Saturday 22 March with performances available at 3pm & 7:30pm . Tickets are £18 for adults & £10 for under 21s and are available online at www.westacretheatre.com or via the box office on 01760 755007.
