Profile
Norwich’s Phoenix Male Voice Choir presents two concerts ‘Unaccompanied!’ in consecutive April weekends, focussing upon ‘a cappella’ choral singing, relying on the male voice alone to make the music!
On Saturday 11th April, 2.30pm, there is a matinee performance at Mile Cross Methodist Church, 341 Aylsham Road, Norwich NR3 2RU, of ‘Unaccompanied!’, when the Choir presents a varied selection of songs ‘a cappella’ – namely just voices and without musical accompaniment.
On Saturday 18th April, 7.30pm, once again at Mile Cross Methodist Church, 341 Aylsham Road, Norwich NR3 2RU, our Singing Men present ‘Unaccompanied!’ all over again in an evening performance.
Taking the rostrum for each as usual will be the Choir’s Musical Director, Sarah Grimes, and there will also be several small group items put forward by various members of our singing ranks during each concert. Interval refreshments will also be available.
Admission to each concert is £10 and tickets are now available from the Choir’s online Box Office at: https://NorwichPhoenixMVC.org/tix with admission on the day from 2.00pm (matinee) and 7.00pm (evening) subject to capacity, all major debit and credit cards being accepted at the door.
The Choir will also be launching its year-long appeal to raise funds for its new Charity of the Year for 2026, the East Anglian Air Ambulance (Charity No. 1083876) by holding a raffle and a retiring bucket collection at each concert, all proceeds of which will be donated to the charity.
Each concert promises an entertaining mix of choral song, all delivered with just the power of the male voice, so not to be missed.
