This summer, Westacre Theatre, the not-so-hidden theatrical gem of West Norfolk, invites you to grab a picnic, pick a performance (or all four!) and enjoy a foot-stomping, soul-lifting series of live music and theatre – all set beside the beautiful lake and lush gardens of this beloved rural arts hub.
To celebrate 25 years of inspiring entertainment and championing young talent, Westacre Theatre is hosting Live by the Lake – a joyful, open-air season of music, community and creativity.

Music by the Lake: The line-up
Sat 6 July – Bowjangles
A string quartet that refuses to sit still. Expect comedy, choreography, and musical madness.

Friday 11 July – Move Your Brass

One of the UK’s top traditional jazz bands – swinging, soulful and full of feel-good charm.

Sunday 24 August – The Sheringham Shantymen
Rich harmonies, sea shanties, and maritime magic from Norfolk’s finest folk crew.
Tickets from just £12 – and kids under 10 go FREE!
Pack your picnic, grab a blanket, and enjoy the perfect family afternoon out.
But wait, there’s more…
Throughout July and August, don’t miss three outstanding performances from Westacre’s own Summer Bursary Students, featuring:
Swallows & Amazons 18th – 26th July
The Three Musketeers 1st – 9th August
Midsummer’s Nights Dream 15th – 25th August
All three to be delightful adaptations and guaranteed to bring exciting, high-energy performances to rural Norfolk.

These performances are the culmination of our unique residential bursary programme, which offers talented young people from across the UK the chance to immerse themselves in the world of theatre — honing their skills in acting, singing, dancing, and stagecraft while working and learning in a professional production setting.
