The 2026 Love West Norfolk campaign closed on Saturday at the Frontline Festival in King’s Lynn, marking the end of a month-long celebration of the people, places and communities that make the borough special.
The campaign, which ran from 22 July to the 22 August, showcased local opportunities, community events, green spaces and the many reasons residents are proud to call West Norfolk home.
Cllr Steve Bearshaw, Mayor of King’s Lynn & West Norfolk, said: “It has been a real pleasure to see so many people getting involved in Love West Norfolk and sharing what they value most about our area. Throughout the campaign, residents, community groups, businesses and partner organisations have come together to celebrate everything that makes West Norfolk such a wonderful place to live, work and visit.
“Our borough is home to vibrant communities, beautiful landscapes, thriving events and dedicated people who make a positive difference every day. I would like to thank everyone who took part, attended an event, entered a competition or helped support the campaign. Your enthusiasm and pride in West Norfolk have been clear to see, and it has been fantastic to celebrate that together.”
Cllr Jo Rust, Cabinet Member for People and Communities, said: “We extended our Love West Norfolk campaign from two weeks to one month this year because we realised that two weeks was just not enough time to celebrate everything that’s great about our borough.
“We had nearly 1,000 park runners in Hunstanton, King’s Lynn and Sandringham showing their support during the campaign, which conveniently coincided with Love Parks Week, when we celebrate our wonderful parks and green spaces. Many local children also entered our drawing competition, helping to showcase what they love most about where they live.
“I’m grateful for the support of our many partner organisations and the local events that helped make this year’s campaign such a success. I would like to thank everyone who contributed and got involved.
“I look forward to an even bigger and better Love West Norfolk campaign next year.”
Love West Norfolk began with a Careers Fair at the Borough Council offices, highlighting the wide range of opportunities available across the borough. Throughout the campaign, partner organisations including Discover King’s Lynn, the Vancouver Shopping Centre, Freebridge Community Housing and Community Action Norfolk supported the initiative through a range of activities and events.
The campaign concluded at the Frontline Festival on Saturday, with support from Norfolk Fire and Rescue Service and Norfolk Constabulary, bringing together residents and organisations for a final celebration of community spirit across West Norfolk.
