Cromer Pier Welcomes Charity Volunteers for Special Summer Show Thank You

Volunteers from North Norfolk Foodbank enjoyed a well-deserved evening of entertainment at the Cromer Pier Summer Show after being invited as guests of Cromer Pier as part of its Charity of the Year partnership.

The special event, which took place on 1 July 2026, saw volunteers take their seats for one of the UK’s only remaining traditional end-of-pier variety shows, recognising the incredible contribution they make to supporting people across North Norfolk.

As Cromer Pier celebrates its 125th anniversary in 2026, North Norfolk Foodbank has been chosen as its Charity of the Year. The partnership will see the two organisations work together throughout the anniversary year on fundraising initiatives and awareness campaigns to support local people experiencing hardship.

North Norfolk Foodbank provides emergency food and practical support to individuals and families across the district. Last year alone, the charity helped feed more than 4,500 people, made possible by the commitment of its dedicated volunteers.

Sean Garrett, General Manager at Cromer Pier, said: “Our volunteers are the heart of so many local charities, giving up their own time to support others without expecting anything in return. We wanted to recognise the incredible work carried out by the volunteers at North Norfolk Foodbank by inviting them to enjoy an evening at the Cromer Pier Summer Show. It was our way of saying thank you for everything they do for our community.”

The invitation marks is part of a year-long partnership between Cromer Pier and North Norfolk Foodbank, with further fundraising activities and community initiatives planned throughout the remainder of 2026.

Visitors to Cromer Pier will also have opportunities to support the charity during the year through a range of campaigns designed to raise both funds and awareness of food poverty across North Norfolk.
