Norwich-based Barratt and David Wilson Homes Anglia has donated £3,000 to Love Dereham, a charity dedicated to helping vulnerable people in its community and surrounding villages.
Love Dereham, established in 2011, focuses on promoting health and well-being by combatting loneliness, isolation, and food poverty.
Its initiatives include the Community Fridge, Community Lunch, Hardship Fund, and Emergency Food Parcels, all of which aim to providing essential support to vulnerable and marginalised individuals and families.
The donation of £3,000 from Barratt and David Wilson Homes will be allocated to Love Dereham’s main projects and running costs, ensuring continued support for those struggling within the community.
Athena Poole, Coordinator at Love Dereham, said: “We were stunned and overjoyed when Barratt and David Wilson Homes informed us of its decision to support our charity.
“This generous contribution will make a real difference in the lives of those facing hardship in our community.”
Barratt and David Wilson Homes’ donation was made as part of its Community Fund scheme via The Barratt Foundation, which is run by its parent company, Barratt Developments. “The dedication the charity has shown in helping those in need aligns perfectly with our values, and we are proud to contribute to its efforts.”
Regarding Barratt and David Wilson Homes’ Community Fund scheme, Athena added: “It’s an incredible way for the company to give back to the community, and we’re honoured to have been chosen to receive this award.
