When Toby, the youngest member of the Tia’s Treasures Team, began counting CCTV cameras and Ring doorbells on one of our daily walks, it sparked a conversation about catching Santa—and suddenly, an idea popped into Lisa’s head.
Originally, the plan was to hire someone to dress up as The Grinch and be “caught” on the Tia’s Treasures Treasure Shed CCTV.
As a family, we’ve always loved the message behind The Grinch: Christmas is about far more than material gifts and consumerism. It’s about love, joy, and community. The Grinch’s heart grows three sizes when he discovers the true meaning of the holiday, and the story reminds us of the importance of compassion, forgiveness, and inclusion.
After looking into the cost, Lisa had another idea—why not dress up as The Grinch herself? Not only could she create fun footage on the Treasure Shed CCTV to show Tommy and Toby, but she could also make surprise Grinch appearances on other people’s CCTV cameras and Ring doorbells, even leaving behind a small treasure.
And so, for the next 25 days, the Tia’s Treasures Team will have a brand-new member… The Grinch!
