These photos are a Then (2011) and Now (2024) of myself and our friend Sarah who if it wasn’t for Sarah Tia’s Treasures wouldn’t be where it is today.
I met Sarah in 2011 when I was just 6 years old, at the time Sarah owned Sassie Gems, a shop in the town centre which sold beads and charms etc.
It was Sarah that helped me make my very first bracelet at a Make Your Own Bracelet event.
Sarah kindly donated beads and charms to help me start Tia’s Treasures which 13 years later is still going strong. Sarah allowed me to visit Sassie Gems most weekends where she would present me with beads and charms that she had donated for me from her suppliers when she told our story. Sarah even let me sell my Treasures at Sassie Gems where I’d donate the proceeds to CLIC Sargent for children with Cancer.
As a family we have kept in touch with Sarah, her husband Chris and her Son Joe through Facebook and when we found out that Sarah and Chris had lost everything in a house fire on 22nd August 2024 including Lottie, a beloved family pet we knew we had to do something to show our support just like Sarah has done for us since the very beginning when Tia’s Treasures was created.
Without Sarah , Tia’s Treasures may not be where it is today and for that we will always be eternally grateful.
It would mean a lot to myself, The Tia’s Treasures Team and of course Sarah if you could show your support by making a donation to the Go Fund Me page set up by Joe
or by helping with accommodation or essentials which will help get Sarah and Chris back on their feet as it is looking like a minimum of 12 months before they can move back into their family home, they are currently staying in Travel Lodges.
Lots of love Tia x
