Writing poetry has helped Steven Foyster in his long recovery since he jumped off St Andrew’s Car Park in Norwich in 1986, aiming to kill himself. His humour and resilience shines through his poetry.
Steven’s themes are varied, as he responds to the ups and downs of day-to-day life. His earliest poems were written on a regular train commute from Norwich to Ipswich, during which delays gave him plenty of time to gather his thoughts.
More recent poems like ‘Trees Be Without You’ and ‘ Dysfunctional Unity’, reflect the state of the world at the moment.
