Profile
A family-run guest house since 1936, The Grove is only half a mile from Cromer town centre, and more importantly, it is just a short walk, through its own private entrance into the woods, from the cliffs and beach.
Alongside a choice of ensuite rooms in the beautiful Georgian country house, we have six self-catering cottages in the adjacent barn conversions.
Our fabulous two rosette restaurant serves a full English breakfast, afternoon teas, Sunday lunch and dinner throughout the week. The restaurant is split into two rooms, with the original dining room available for private dining.
There is plenty of space to unwind both for adults and children, whether splashing about in our indoor heated swimming pool, knocking a table tennis ball around, exploring our three acres of gardens with their tree-house and trampoline, or putting your feet up with a cup of tea in our beautiful lounge or new orangery bar. Further afield, a children’s play area is just a few minutes’ woodland walk away.
All the activities of Cromer are reachable either by car or on foot. You can walk entirely off-road along the cliffs through our own entrance into Warren Woods at the top of the garden.
From the day it was built, The Grove has been a family house, a place of welcome, relaxation and security for more than two centuries. Through the guest house and cottages we aim to extend that welcome to all who visit us. We wish our guests to experience the warmth and comfort that has been infused into the house by many generations of people, and we have built on this legacy to create a place where you can come in and immediately relax.
The Grove are proud to announce that Sundown will be opening on May 17th 2021 serving Norfolk tapas, lobster, pizza and ice-cream, in our giant tipis on the lawn. The Grove have been lucky enough to have had financial help from New Anglia LEP with Sundown.
We look forward to welcoming you to The Grove Cromer.
