Profile
A portrait is much more than a photograph .. it is a there as an investment in your history, for posterity, an heirloom and a treasured memory.
Portraits capture the real you, a thousand stories can be seen in a great photograph. Each time you view your portrait you’ll relive a great memory.
Your portrait experience will be a laughter-filled day, centred around you and your needs. The session will be fun and natural, with no worries or hurries. The best shots can take a while, but with a sense of fun in a relaxed atmosphere, we’ll work together to capture your true nature and create a portrait telling your story.
I’m more than used to working with large families, tired babies and grumpy teens! I have years of making even the most camera-shy individuals shine; the day is yours and I will make sure you, your family members or friends all have a wonderful experience.
Pet Portraits are the perfect way to capture your favourite friend’s unique personality; guaranteed to make you smile each time you view your artwork.
The best shots come from patience, a healthy sense of humour and a relaxed atmosphere. I am more than used to tenacious terriers, reserved cats and even sleeping reptiles! (The only pet exception is spiders — sorry, I’m an absolute arachnophobe!)
Together, you and your pet will have a great experience, designed around your specifications. Whether you prefer highly stylised imagery, your pet in a natural surrounding or being caught playing mischievously in the studio, your pet’s portrait will capture the essence of the companion you know and love.
Equine portraits are the perfect way to bring out your horse’s expressive body language and personality. Your portrait in your home will ensure the strong bond between you both is unbroken — whether your horse is in livery or at the bottom of your garden. Your photography experience will be a wonderful moment to relive and enjoy each time you view the artwork which has encapsulated your horse’s nature.
Lisa North Photography … in words!
Photography is something I have always relished; there has been a camera in my bag since I can remember. To me, photography immortalises people and animals, a portrait can be held and loved for generations.
I have been fortunate to work as a professional photographer for over ten years, spending time capturing images in the studio as well as in beautiful country settings ranging from beloved grandparents, family portraits, favourite pets and new parents to create fine art for posterity.
Living in the rural community of Harleston lends itself to my art; I adore exploring the surrounding countryside and discovering beauty spots perfect for location shoots with animals and families. As an experienced horse and dog owner, I have also become specialised in equestrian and animal photography, which I certainly view more as a love than a job!
