To mark World Suicide Prevention Day on Wednesday 10th September, Norfolk and Waveney Mind is launching a county-wide “Squiggle Tour,” bringing minds iconic logo to some of Norfolk’s most recognisable landmarks to raise awareness of suicide prevention and the importance of mental health support across the county.
The “Squiggle” – a bold symbol of connection, movement, and hope – has been travelling across Norfolk, stopping at some of the county’s most iconic landmarks, including Norwich Cathedral, Blickling Estate, and Britannia Pier.
Leading up to the 10th, the Squiggle will continue its journey, appearing at much-loved locations and significant sites across the county. By placing it in these meaningful settings, Norfolk and Waveney Mind aims to highlight that mental health touches every community and every corner of Norfolk – and to remind people that support is always close by.

Speaking about the initiative, Emma Robinson-Hodges, Director of strategy and charity development at Norfolk and Waveney Mind, said: “We know that poor mental health and suicide can touch anyone, in any community. Taking our Squiggle across Norfolk and Waveney allows us to spark conversations in public places, break down stigma, and remind people that we are here to listen and to help. No one has to face these struggles alone.”
World Suicide Prevention Day provides a vital opportunity to encourage openness, promote support services, and reduce stigma, and Norfolk and Waveney Mind is proud to play a leading role in this important conversation.
By taking the Squiggle on tour, Norfolk and Waveney Mind hopes to highlight the reach of its work and the fact that it stands alongside people across the region. Whether in large cities or smaller towns, the charity’s message is clear: nobody should have to face poor mental health alone, and support is available in every part of the county.

The Squiggle Tour will take place from 2nd of September to the 8th and end on 10th at the Assembly house, Norwich.
