Chris Cockrell, head chauffeur and manager of Near and Far, Norfolk’s premier Chauffeur and Chaperone Company, is seeking your involvement in his charity project for 2026.
Near and Far has received many accolades ranging from National awards for best new Chauffeur business, Chauffeur Company of the Year, exceptional customer service at the EDP wedding awards and Chris who is the head chauffeur and manager has also been shortlisted in the top 6 for National Professional Driver of the year 3 times.
Chris said “I would like to take this opportunity to seek your involvement in my charity project for 2026. That year I’ll be marking more than three decades in the Chauffeur / Close Protection industry, and over a decade in the Military and I plan to commemorate the occasion by giving something back to the community and recognizing the military background that formed the foundation of my career.”
“I intend to compete in the British Rally Mini Challenge Championship 2026, completing all ten rounds. However, I will be self-funding and am thus actively looking for sponsorship to allow me to compete and raise money for good causes. I will be donating to both a military and a children’s charity.”
“If you could help in any way or have contacts who might assist, I would be most grateful. Sponsorship opportunities would include having your name/brand on my car and race suit (£3K) or just on the suit (£2K), but any donation – large or small – would be equally welcome. The total cost to compete for the year would be in the region of £40K, though of course I will be funding some of that from my own pocket. I am aiming to find enough support to be able to hand a decent excess to these two charities.”
“I’ll be competing on a stage rally in November in Lincolnshire to shakedown the car in preparation, and will be posting regular progress updates on LinkedIn and social media platforms.”
