An Evening with Richard Digance

The current patron of Cromer’s ‘Folk on the Pier’ festival will be returning to one of his favourite Norfolk theatres this September. Richard Digance will once again be appearing at Sheringham Little Theatre for another evening of songs and stories.

Richard is an English comedian, folk singer, author, and visual artist whose career spans over five decades, blending music, comedy, and storytelling. His illustrious career has seen him rising from the 1960s folk revival and supporting acts like Jethro Tull, Steeleye Span, Steve Martin, and Robin Williams before hosting his own ITV and BBC Radio 2 series. He has released forty-four albums, authored twenty-four books, composed for Bill Bryson audiobooks, and appeared two hundred times on Channel 4’s Countdown. A BAFTA nominee and recipient of the Gold Award from the British Academy of Songwriters, he continues to perform selectively while pursuing writing and art.

Richard tends to only perform selected venues nowadays and Sheringham is privileged to be amongst them.
