Nelson’s Journey, Norfolk’s childhood bereavement support charity, is delighted to reveal
that its Christmas Quiz is back in 2024, but was so eagerly anticipated it’s already sold out.
Even better, thanks to the generosity of the event’s title-sponsors Westcotec, the maximum
amount of funds raised on the night will go to helping the county’s bereaved children and
young people.
Nelson’s Journey has been hosting a Christmas Quiz since 2012, but it took a break last
year when the charity held a ball to celebrate its 25 th anniversary. This year’s event will
welcome more than 200 guests to The Space in Norwich for an evening of tricky trivia and a
chippy tea.
Nelson’s Journey’s funding & marketing manager Gary Stevens, in between researching
quiz-questions, said: “For years before I worked for Nelson’s Journey I was honoured to be
the host of this event annually and it’s always been a highlight of my calendar.
“When we opened sales for this year’s Nelson’s Journey Christmas Quiz we were taken aback by just how quicky they sold, with a healthy mix of corporate supporters and service user families past and present among those snapping them up,” he said.
“We are really grateful for the support of all our sponsors, and the backing of Westcotec means as much money as possible will go directly to our work with Norfolk’s bereaved children and young people,” he added.
Chris Spinks, managing director of Westcotec said: “Westcotec has been supporting
Nelson’s Journey for some years now, it has been so satisfying for us as a company to have
watched the organisation grow and grow and increase the levels of support given to
bereaved children across the county.
“We all feel extremely honoured to be able to have played a small part in that growth and we undertake to continue to provide that support for the future.” He added.
While tickets are all sold, there is still a way to help Nelson’s Journey in their fundraising for
this event: If you think you could donate the sort of “money can’t buy” experience that could
be sold off in a silent auction, or have goods or services you’d like to donate as a raffle prize,
let them know what you can offer by emailing: fundraising@nelsonjourney.org.uk.
