Edinburgh Fringe Comedy Show to Record Live Studio Album in Norwich

Join comedy musician Chris Sainton-Clark as he takes you through his troublesome and amusing experiences of working in British pubs. After years of toiling away behind a Norfolk bar, witnessing fist-fights, fruit machine addicts, perverts and compulsive liars, Chris decided to consolidate his experiences into song form. His tales include stories of a legend in the pub known only for his blatant lies, a drag queen who could make any bigot get up and dance, a hopeless romantic named Barry and many more.

Each of Chris’ songs has a satirical outlook at British pub culture that will leave you thinking, ‘I know that person’ or maybe… ‘I am that person’. Armed with just a guitar, a whole lot of sarcasm and many musical stories, Tales from a British Country Pub with its unusual musical take on comical observation, is sure to keep you entertained.

Based in North Norfolk, Chris Sainton-Clark has been quickly gaining attention on the local scene for his witty and offbeat style. After having played two of his songs at his first ever open-mic, Chris was booked on the spot for his first professional gig. He was swiftly picked up for two summer music festivals and has now performed his full one hour and a half show at Sheringham Little Theatre and the Quay Theatre, Sudbury. He blends comedy, rhythmic guitar patterns and spoken word together to create a truly unique sound that draws on something quintessentially British.

Fresh from his Edinburgh Fringe run, Chris is recording his full show at Voodoo Daddy’s showroom in Norwich on the 16th of October, ready to be released onto music streaming platforms.
