Pensthorpe, the North Norfolk-based nature reserve, has announced a weekend filled with Flamboyance and feathery fun at its new Flamingo Festival!
The exciting event takes place over the weekend of 28th and 29th September and aims to showcase the reserves flock of 66 Greater Flamingos. Families can enjoy a day full of themed fun with crafts, trails and entertainment, plus if your children dress in Flamingo-themed clothing they gain half-price entry to the popular reserve!
The Festival calendar includes; Flamingo talks with a keeper, a Flamingo parade, and even a pink themed spotter sheet for around the reserve.
Ben Marshall, Managing Director of Pensthorpe says ‘ We’re so excited to celebrate our flock of Flamingos in the best way possible! With a whole weekend dedicated to the species. Families can enjoy a whole host of activities over the weekend, and it really is one not to be missed. We’re looking for everyone to fully immerse themselves in the theme which is why we’re offering half-price entry for any children who go all out and dress to impress”
The event takes place between 10am – 5pm at the Nature reserve, and as well as all the themed fun visitors can still enjoy the vistas Pensthorpe is known for along with several bird hides, sculptures, indoor and outdoor play plus lots of opportunities to connect with Nature.
