We know you love Norwich Market. For many of you, it's the first place you think of going to on your work lunch break.

For shoes that need re-heeling and getting a spare set of keys cut, you know exactly where to go. For vintage fashion, flowers to cheer your friend up, ethically sourced toiletries for the bathroom, spices for your family dinner, craft beers to surprise your dad.

This Love Your Local Market fortnight we're asking you to 'share the love'.

Share the love on social media for the chance to win a prize

When you're on the market between Friday 17 and Wednesday 29 May, snap a picture of the thing you're buying, service you're getting, or friend you're introducing to Norwich Market on Facebook, Instagram or Twitter.

To post on Facebook, please share your picture in the comments of our Facebook post. On Twitter and Instagram, don't forget to use the hashtag #LoveNorwichMarket

Then at the end of the fortnight, we'll pick our top favourite posts and announce the winners of the following:

  • first prize - a hamper worth £100; with £50 worth of market goodies and £50 worth of vouchers to spend on whatever stalls you fancy
  • second prize - £25 of vouchers to spend on Norwich Market
  • third prize - £10 of vouchers.

Kristina Fox, markets manager (pictured) said:

"All our traders are local people and most are running very small businesses offering truly unique products and services made all the more special by their own personal energy and efforts.

Word of mouth is one of the most important ways we all find out about the fantastic local gems and so we're asking all those people who have been discovering the delights of our market to share their love and shout even louder about their favourite stalls during this campaign."

Want to run your own market stall for a week?

That's not all! Think you've got what it takes to join our traders on our award-winning market? Applicants for one of our nine pop-up stalls between Friday 17 May and Friday 21 June will be entered into a prize draw. The first applicant picked out will get use of one of our pop-ups for a week of their choice anytime until Saturday 30 November, free of charge.

The winner will need to bring their own table to trade from and have their own public liability insurance cover to the value of £5 million. Please note we are unable to have hot food pop-up stalls.
