Coastlines from across the world feature in the next exhibition at The Yare Gallery.

Featuring paintings by members of EAGMA (East Anglian Group of Marine Artists) and photographs collated from worldwide submissions to the Global Shorelines Project.

EAGMA was set up in 1979, and is a small group of local professional and semi-professional artists who depict marine subjects. In this exhibition we have coastal works of local, national and in some international scenes, depicted by Suzanne Chisnell, Tom Cringle, Merrie Curtiss-Fuller, Richard Dack, Michael Daley, Andrew Dibben, Russ Foster, Andrew King, Raymond Leech, Lesley Munro, David Talks, Adrian Taunton, Rachel Thomas, Lenny Townsend, Francesca Townsend, and Ian Walker.

Alongside the paintings, we have a collection of photographs collated by the Global Shorelines Project. Kevin Healy initiated this as a way to raise awareness and funds for marine conservation charities. He has amassed hundreds of photographs from across the world of participants' local coast. Alongside the display, there is a short film of some of the scenes captured.

In our courtyard garden you will find Andy Sloan's Longshore Drift and Spadge Hopkins' sea bird metal sculptures. Why not enjoy the weather with a hot or cold drink from our new refreshment stand and take a seat in our garden? Whilst at the gallery do take a peek in our shop and cabinets across the galleries, as in this exhibition we have coastal themed ceramics by Keri Lowe, Tamlin Lundberg, Lucy Wheeler, Tracy Myers, and Susanna Harder and silver jewellery by Angela Humphreys.

Always something new to see at The Yare Gallery - we look forward to welcoming you!

The gallery is open Tuesday to Saturday 11-4 (last entry 3.30), and the exhibition is on from Friday 13 May to Thursday 23 June at The Yare Gallery, 26 South Quay, Great Yarmouth NR30 2RG
