Latest News from The Grove Cromer
As we head into winter, we are running a series of accommodation offers including offering one night's free accommodation on our Superior Rooms before Christmas, and our Pamper Package; with one full body massage and dinner, bed and breakfast, as well as, our Sunday Is The New Saturday offer, which is a great deal for Sunday nights.

Our autumn menu, with warming dishes featuring lots of Norfolk produce, supplemented by our fruit and veg garden is going down a treat, and Christmas party bookings are coming in.

We are also holding a wine tasting and taster menu night on 29th November, for which we have a few remaining tables, £70 for seven courses and a five-glass flight of wine, with Peter Graham Wines coming in to talk through the subtleties of the glasses on the night.

We are now full for Christmas but have three rooms left for New Year, which is promising to be a spectacular event, with fireworks, magicians, and musicians.

Further into the winter, we will reopen after our usual period of refurbishment in Jan with Burns' Night on 24th Jan. We have limited tables left for this, as it books up well in advance.

  • Flying the (Blue) Flags for North Norfolk’s fabulous beaches

It’s official: North Norfolk continues to have some of the best beaches in the country.

The beaches in Cromer, East Runton, Mundesley, Sea Palling, Sheringham and West Runton have all been awarded prestigious Blue Flags for another year – and that means the 45-mile North Norfolk coastline is home to half of all the Blue Flag beaches in the east of England.

The awards are given out only to those beaches that have the highest quality of water, facilities, environmental education and management, with superb levels of cleanliness and safety. It means the hundreds of thousands of residents and visitors who visit North Norfolk’s beaches each year can be sure they are enjoying top-notch destinations.

North Norfolk is the only district in the county that has been awarded any Blue Flags this year.

As we move through Autumn and Winter, the weather changes and the hours of daylight decrease. So, often many photographers seem to go into hibernation unsure of what to do until Spring. This month, I'd like to encourage you to make the most of the unique conditions of the cooler seasons. One particular phenomenon that you are likely to see more of is fog.

  • Planning application submitted for Community Sports Hub

Three indoor tennis courts will be at the centre of a key sports development proposed by North Norfolk District Council, bringing sport and leisure benefits to all ages, all year round.

Plans for a £3.2m Community Sports Hub in Cromer have been submitted as the country enjoys the first week of Wimbledon fortnight.

The project is being developed in conjunction with the Lawn Tennis Association (LTA) and Cromer Academy, whose students will directly benefit from the new facilities. The facility will provide better access to high quality tennis and benefit all ages, with a wider plan to double participation for young people in North Norfolk and beyond.

  • New Massage Hut at The Grove offers the perfect retreat for all

The Grove Cromer is teaming up with The Massage Hut to offer hotel guests and visitors holistic massage therapy seven days a week, in a tranquil wooden cabin surrounded by trees and birdsong.

The Massage Hut is a team of four therapists – Christy, Pat, Jason and Ashlee - who all qualified with the Massage Training Institute, a qualification that is recognised by the UK regulatory body for complementary healthcare practitioners, the Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC). This means that as well as being able to offer relaxing pamper sessions, therapists are trained to understand and work with clients who have short and long term health issues.
