The relaunch of performances will be showcased at Attleborough Town Hall and Necton Community Centre.
Later this month, The Opera Dudes will be returning by popular demand. The duo combines the elegance of opera, the dazzle of the west end and the heart break of ballads with ridiculous impressions and slapstick humour to create a hilariously fun filled afternoon for all. Residents can join them in Attleborough on Thursday, 21 October or in Necton on Friday, 22 October where they’ll be performing their Mission Improbable show, which will include their performance of Breckland Wonderland which they wrote with the help of Silver Social participants during last summer’s virtual workshops.
In November, people will get the chance to see the long-awaited Strong Lady productions which was originally due to tour for the Silver Social last year. POWER is a solo circus-theatre work which celebrates the different ways we can feel powerful. The Strong Lady uses her physical strength to portray the emotional strength we all have inside us; the show is both uplifting and funny whilst also tapping into important and moving human emotions through an array of collected stories.
During December, the Tangram Theatre will be returning with their show ‘The Element in the Room’. The radioactive musical-comedy about the life and death of Marie Curie involves both comedy songs and audience participation, following Marie’s journey across the USA to collect a single gram of radium, a celebration of the first woman to win a Nobel Prize, and a look at how her work continues to affect our lives today. This show is sure to reignite people’s passions for science once again!
Tickets are £5 but should be booked in advance. Help with transport is available if needed, 3 days’ notice for transport is required. For further details about the shows, performance dates and to book tickets, go to: www.thesilversocial.com/events
